My daughter in law and myself came across Sean Slaughter by accident as we were in Virginia looking for a home for my daughter in law, my sons family and myself, as they were being transferred to Va through the Navy and I was moving to be close to them. The realtor we had been in contact with happened to be out of town at that time. Anyway that was our lucky day when we found Sean. I really cannot say enough good things about Sean as an agent and a human being. He went above and beyond what was required of an agent and made sure to find the perfect house for my sons family and also one that was more suited to myself. He is extremely knowledgeable on all affairs related to home purchase, even an expert on alot of home repairs and what that all consists of. Which was very helpful as I purchased an older home. My husband and I were first time home buyers, and we were referred to Nicole so that we could get a better understanding of the buying process. I was nervous about buying a home, but Nicole was so friendly and broke everything down step by step that I immediately began to feel excited. Nicole took us to a couple of properties and we found our dream house. When my husband and I decided to put in an offer, the three of us had a group conversation and she explained to us what will happen over the couple of days, as well as what to expect in terms of a deposit, inspection fees, and estimated timeline until settlement. She also was able to provide a market analysis so that we can strategically come up with an offer price, and within twelve hours she had a contract drafted and ready for our review. Next came the negotiation part, and Nicole is definitely someone you want in your corner because she is fierce! Another thing that my husband and I appreciated about Nicole is that she was always going above and beyond for us. We were pre-approved through the lender we bank with, but when she found out our interest rate and fees she put us in contact with five other different lenders whose rates were more competitive. In addition, when she found our how much we were charged for our home inspection she gave us the contact information of another inspector and we saved $300. Nicole held our hand every step of the way and closing on our house went smooth without any problems. If you want a realtor who is professional, confident, and an industry expert, I highly recommend you work with her!

Sean not only stayed extremely accessible through the entire process, but was incredibly patient with every question and wonderfully knowledgeable with every explanation. One of the things I enjoyed most about the process was how much I learned, and since Sean is a teacher, he had a way of giving me insight into the process from all sides (ours, the buyers, the sellers, and the market) that helped us make well informed decisions.
We both sold our home and bought another with Sean. During the sale we got caught up in a surprise title issue that no one saw coming, and it really jammed up the sale (to the point we lost our first buyer) and held us up with searching for another. Total unicorn problem. Regardless, Sean never lost confidence in his ability to help us, and when we crossed a bridge he wasn’t sure of, he tapped his resources and always came back with answers that helped us navigate. What should have taken one month took five, but Sean never wavered in his service to us or his hard work. His hustle is unmatched.
